As we reach the end of the year, I wanted to share a short update and thank you for being part of My Movement Medicine.
Whether you’ve attended sessions in person, joined online, or followed along in the background, your support has helped build a service that prioritises safe, evidence-based exercise and a genuinely supportive environment.
Just as importantly, MMM has continued to grow into a community — a place where people feel welcomed, understood, and able to rebuild confidence in movement at their own pace.
Service Update: Wednesday Sessions Added (May 2025)
A key development this year was the introduction of Wednesday sessions in May 2025, giving members more flexibility and the option of a second weekly session. For many people, having two opportunities per week makes it easier to maintain routine, build confidence, and progress steadily — and it has also strengthened the sense of connection between members across the week.
Thank you to everyone who supported that change and helped the Wednesday sessions settle in so well.
Introducing MMM Momentum (Rewards Programme)
I’m pleased to share the launch of MMM Momentum, our new rewards programme.
MMM Momentum is designed to recognise commitment and consistency. Members earn points through regular participation and engagement, and those points can be redeemed against future sessions and services. The aim is simple: to encourage sustainable routines, reward progress over time, and support the small habits that keep people moving.
Points can be viewed and tracked directly through the website.
Subscriptions and Session Plans
To support regular attendance and make planning simpler, My Movement Medicine now offers subscriptions alongside structured session packs.
These options are designed to reduce the “start-stop” pattern many people experience and make it easier to commit to a realistic routine — while staying connected to the MMM community along the way.
Subscriptions (monthly):
Keep Moving Mondays (Face-to-Face or Online)
Keep Moving Wednesdays (Face-to-Face or Online)
Momentum Plan – 1 Session per Week
Progress Plan – 2 Sessions per Week
Session packs:
Starter Pack (4 Sessions) (Online or Face-to-Face)
Progress Pack (8 Sessions) (Online or Face-to-Face)
Commitment Pack (12 Sessions) (Online or Face-to-Face)
4-in-a-Row Pack (Online or Face-to-Face)
If you’re unsure which option fits best, let me know, & we can discuss the best approach.
New Resource Release: Activity-Specific Guides
This year, we also began releasing Activity-Specific Guides through My Movement Medicine.
These guides are designed to give clear, practical support for returning to everyday activities and exercise safely — especially if you’ve had a cardiac event, completed rehabilitation, or you’re managing a long-term condition. Each guide is written in plain language and focuses on confidence, safety, and steady progression, rather than pushing intensity.
They cover key points such as:
How to get started (and when to wait)
Intensity guidance using perceived exertion
Common risks and how to reduce them
Simple progression ideas
Practical tips to make the activity feel easier and safer
Over time, these guides will build into a growing library so members can feel supported not just in classes, but in day-to-day life too.
Booking and Getting Started
If you’re ready to book a session, start a plan, or claim a trial session, you can do everything through the booking page.
Most people can simply book in and I’ll guide you through the next steps on the day, including any quick screening questions and exercise adaptations needed to keep things safe and appropriate.
If you’re coming from cardiac rehabilitation or managing a long-term condition, you’re very welcome — the sessions are designed to be inclusive and individually adapted.
Festive Challenge: Staying Active Over Christmas
To support movement through December, I’ve also launched a free festive challenge. It’s built around short, manageable activity “snacks”, simple walking targets, and home-based sessions that can be adapted to different abilities and health needs.
The goal is not intensity, it’s consistency during a time when routines often change. It’s also a way to stay connected to the MMM community over the festive period, even if you can’t attend your usual sessions. Everyone who completes the challenge will be invited to a free session as a reward & thank-you.
Strengthening the CIC: Two New Directors
As My Movement Medicine continues to develop as a Community Interest Company (CIC), we are in the process of appointing two new directors to strengthen governance, clinical insight, and long-term planning:
Helena Davies — Dietetic Specialist
Teresa Mackay — Clinical Nurse Specialist
Both bring valuable clinical experience and will support the service as it grows, helping ensure MMM remains safe, well-governed, and aligned with best practice — while continuing to feel personal, supportive, and community-led.
Funding Bids and Growth Plans
Behind the scenes, I’m currently submitting funding bids to support the growth and wider access of My Movement Medicine. These decisions can take a few months, so thank you for your patience while outcomes are confirmed.
Looking ahead, 2026 is planned to bring additional sessions and further expansion, helping meet demand while maintaining the same standard of safety, individual adaptation, and a strong community atmosphere.
Thank You
Thank you again for being part of My Movement Medicine this year — for showing up, supporting each other, and helping create an environment where people can rebuild confidence and keep moving forward.
Wishing you a calm, healthy end to the year.
