Over the past two years, My Movement Medicine has grown from a small Phase 4 cardiac rehab class into a supportive community that helps people build strength, confidence, and long-term health.
Today, I’m excited to share an important milestone: My Movement Medicine is now officially a Community Interest Company (CIC).
Becoming a CIC means the service is formally recognised as a non-profit organisation created to benefit the community. It strengthens our mission to deliver safe, evidence-based exercise for people recovering from cardiac events and for anyone wanting to improve their health.
Why become a CIC?
Turning M.M.M. into a CIC allows us to:
Reinforce that our priority is community health—not profit
Apply for grants and funding to grow our services
Create more accessible sessions for people who may struggle to afford ongoing rehabilitation
Build partnerships with NHS teams, charities, and local organisations
Expand into new venues across London, offering more Phase 4 and prevention programmes
What this means for you
Nothing changes about the care, expertise, or quality of sessions. You will still receive the same safe, supportive exercise you’re used to—but now with even more opportunities on the way, including:
More group sessions each week
New locations such as Paddington
Chair-based sessions for low-function clients
Community walks and support groups
A long-term pathway that bridges hospital-based rehab and independent living
I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who has supported My Movement Medicine so far.
This step helps us build a stronger, more sustainable service that can support even more people on their recovery journey.
Thank you for being part of the community.
