Heres a little recipe for some health shots that we made at home not long ago. See the recipe and method in the pics above.
đ„They are rather spicy due to the ginger & cayenne but they're super potent, healthy & will provide you with the following health benefits:
âïž
Reduced inflammation
Boost your immune system
Boost cardiac health
Boost blood flow
Boost gut health
Reduce blood pressure
+ many other benefits
âïž
Ingredients (ideally organic):
- 600g + of ginger & turmeric root or 4 tbsp turneric powder turmeric powder
- 500g organic beetroot
- A bag of organic carrots
- 8 Lemon's juice
- 4 tbsp Cayenne Pepper
- A cup or 2 of water to each part in the blender (use more / less depending on how potent you want them)
đ§And, if you really want to, you can add a load of fresh garlic, which may make them less appetising but will add in all the amazing health benefits of garlic.
TIP: Its going to get messy so dont wear white!
To begin, blend up and then strain the ginger root and turmeric root together, no need to peel. Add in 1 or 2 cups of water until liquidised and strain the liquid into a seperate large liquid container. Place the strained fibrous part into a large container for your coleslaw.
At this point, if you are using turmeric powder, you can add this into the strained ginger mix along with your cayenne pepper.
Next up, cut the tops off your beetroot, keeping the leafs, blend your beetroot and leafs together, once again adding water until liquidised. It may take a few loads for this. Then strain all this, separating into your liquid / coleslaw mixes.
Next, top and tail your carrots and juice your lemons. Blend up the carrots with some water and add the lemon juice. Once again, straining and seperating into your mixes.
Mix your liquid and coleslaw mixes up & then box them up into little 100ml shotties bottles and then freeze them. Then you can take them out each day or every other day & there should be enough of them for a month or two.
And then all the strained parts make lovely addition to a spicy, spicy coleslaw (pictured below) that you can use for a good few meals!
Addition: we also recently made a tasty curry out of the coleslaw and it was delicious. Plenty of options with the large amount of healthy coleslaw, so get creative!
Give it a go and let me know how you get on!
Enjoy!
