Our story
From cardiac rehabilitation to an ongoing exercise community
My Movement Medicine began in Hampstead in 2023, created by Clinical Exercise Physiologist Jamie Pickett after recognising an important question:
"What happens when structured rehabilitation finishes?"
We provide a place to continue the progress made during rehabilitation, build confidence, and exercise alongside others who understand the experience

A friendly community where you can move, connect, and grow
“In April 2024, I was diagnosed with coronary artery disease and underwent a procedure to have two severe blockages treated with stents. Afterwards, I completed an eight-week cardiac rehabilitation programme through Imperial, which was excellent. When it came to an end, though, I was left wondering what support was available next.

That was when I found My Movement Medicine.
I joined MMM in August 2024 and have been attending ever since. The sessions provide a natural continuation from cardiac rehabilitation, with a strong focus on exercising safely, building confidence and improving health over the longer term.

Jamie is a Clinical Exercise Physiologist with a background in cardiac rehabilitation, and he takes great care to make sure everyone can take part safely. The sessions are enjoyable and welcoming, and exercises are adapted whenever someone is unable to complete a particular movement.
As I live outside London, I attend the sessions via Zoom, which works extremely well. There are usually several of us joining online, and although we have never met in person, there is a real sense of community. We often chat before and after the sessions, and the whole atmosphere is friendly and supportive.

I would thoroughly recommend My Movement Medicine to anyone looking for ongoing exercise support following a cardiac event. It provides the reassurance of clinically informed exercise alongside a genuinely welcoming community.”
