Service Description
Getting started with exercise after a cardiac event or when living with a long-term condition can feel daunting. This free online consultation gives you the chance to speak directly with a Clinical Exercise Physiologist who understands your situation and can help you take the next step confidently and safely. During our 15-minute video call, we’ll briefly discuss your health background, current activity level, and what you want to achieve — whether that’s improving fitness, managing weight, supporting blood pressure or cholesterol, or simply feeling more confident moving again. You’ll receive personalised guidance on: What type and level of exercise is right for you How to exercise safely based on your condition and medication How to monitor intensity using simple tools like RPE Options for support through our group classes or 1-to-1 sessions This session is friendly and completely no-obligation — just helpful advice to ensure you’re making the best decision for your health. You can also ask any questions you have about symptoms, safety, equipment, or joining My Movement Medicine. By the end of the call, you’ll feel reassured, supported, and clear about how to move forward — at a pace that works for you.

To ensure the highest standards of care, please read the following policy before attending your appointment. Purpose of the Consultation Our online consultations are designed to: Discuss your goals and current health considerations Provide general guidance on exercise and/or nutrition Help you choose the most suitable service or plan This session does not replace medical care or serve as a clinical diagnosis. Eligibility & Safety By booking an online consultation, you confirm that: You are willing to share relevant health information honestly You understand that any advice is based on information you provide You will seek urgent medical attention if you experience concerning symptoms such as chest pain, severe breathlessness, dizziness, or collapse If your condition requires specialist input, we may advise referral to your GP or healthcare team. Confidentiality & Data Protection All personal information is treated as confidential No details are shared with third parties without your consent We follow data protection requirements (UK GDPR) We may request written consent if collaboration with another healthcare provider is beneficial. Environment & Technology To support a smooth consultation: Please join from a quiet, private space Ensure a stable internet connection Video is recommended for effective communication If a technical issue prevents the appointment, we will rearrange at no cost. Cancellations & Rescheduling You may reschedule up to 24 hours before your appointment Missed appointments or late cancellations may not be eligible for a free rebooking If we need to cancel, we will offer the earliest possible alternative. Scope of Advice Advice provided during the call is: Evidence-based Tailored to the information given Intended for general wellbeing and guidance It is your responsibility to let us know about any changes to your health or medication.
